ABOUT NBYC

The New Bern area and its abundant waterways are a natural magnet for boating enthusiasts.  NBYC’s waterfront property has panoramic views of scenic Brices Creek and the Trent River.  The picturesque Trent flows to the Neuse River, enabling access to the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean.  Our attractive clubhouse and grounds offer an ideal gathering place for members.
On the Water – Members own a range of sizes and styles of boats, from sail to power to kayaks and canoes.  Each season we hold local and long-distance cruises and on-the-water events.  Our dock offers day-usage plus six slips for boats up to 37 ft, with power and water for member rentals.
On the Shore –  We offer a year-round calendar of fun and diverse social gatherings, plus monthly meetings with programs of interest to mariners.
NBYC’s operations and activities are managed by its members; thus, volunteerism is key to our success.  Click below for information on the benefits of NBYC membership!

  • Supporting responsible seamanship through educational offerings.
  • Supporting our local area through participation in marine-related community events.
  • Supporting camaraderie among members through a broad range of monthly meetings and other social activities.
